I spent the fall of 2005 living in St. Petersburg Russia. When I first landed, I didn’t speak a lick of russian. But by the time I left, I was conversationally fluent. It was probably the fastest my mind has every had to grow. The place is so fascinatingly jagged and full of material for the brain to feast on.
